The written testimony
Horacio Arredondo and Academic Outreach
In addition to his work in the restoration of fortifications and the creation of Santa Teresa National Park, Horacio Arredondo also played an important role in the academic and cultural sphere.
In 1956, he served as president of the Association “Friends of Archaeology”, publishing Volume XIV of its journal, which included his study Santa Teresa y San Miguel: La restauración de las fortalezas y la formación de sus parques.
In this work, Arredondo reflected not only on architectural restoration, but also on landscape design, the introduction of plant species, and the preservation of native and exotic fauna.
This publication confirms his broad vision of heritage: history, nature and national identity working together.
